We look forward to welcoming you to Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens to enjoy a tour of the restored 19th century Gothic Revival Castle and unique servants’ tunnel or the fascinating Irish Agricultural Museum.  Take a stroll in the stunning gardens, lake walks and woodlands or have a picnic around the picturesque lakes. Watch the peacocks strut by displaying their finery at the castle lakeside with its Gothic towers, waterfall and statues.

No booking is required to visit the Gardens or Irish Agricultural Museum.

The Irish Agricultural Museum is housed in the Johnstown Castle Estate’s farm courtyard buildings.

It displays one of the most comprehensive displays of farming and rural life in Ireland.

The museum, which has been in existence for over 40 years, now consists of 19 different exhibitions – everything from tractors to country kitchens.

The gardens at Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens are open all year round, 7 days a week.  There is no need to book your garden visit in advance.
