The Castle at Johnstown is a gem of gothic revival architecture and will open to visitors on 1st June 2019 for the first time after an initial restoration, promising to enchant all who experience it with its unique 86 metre long servants’ tunnel, turrets, lake walks and exquisite gardens.

The Irish Agricultural Museum is housed in the Johnstown Castle Estate’s farm courtyard buildings.

It displays one of the most comprehensive displays of farming and rural life in Ireland.

The museum, which has been in existence for over 40 years, now consists of 19 different exhibitions – everything from tractors to country kitchens.

The gardens at Johnstown Castle, Estate, Museum and Gardens a are open all year round, 7 days a week.  There is no need to book your garden visit in advance.
