Heritage Skills Open Day

Join us on Friday 22 April for a traditional building and craft skills Open Day.

As Phase one of works on the East Wing of the Castle draw to a close, we would like to welcome you to spend an afternoon with the Traditional Craft workers of the project. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and chat to some of the country’s leading traditional craft professionals.

The event will take place in the Sunken Garden (near the castle) from 2 to 4pm. There will be talks and demonstrations on the care and maintenance of traditional lime mortars, roofing, rendering, leadwork, timber windows and care of furniture.

All are welcome. Pre-booking is not required.
