Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens is cared for and managed by the Irish Heritage Trust, an independent charity. We count on the support of income from our visitors to help us secure the long term future of this special place.
Following the completion of a capital programme at Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, we are embarking on the next chapter of development and we hope that many people will find ways to get involved and help us care for and share the property with everyone. There are many different ways that you can support the work we do.
Volunteering is a great way for people to connect with heritage. We have opportunities for everyone to get involved with their heritage in any way that they choose. We believe that increased individual and community participation at special places helps to bring them to life and protect and preserve them for future generations.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of volunteers who are passionate about Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens. Our volunteering activities range from tour guiding & visitor services to collections care, helping out at events or gardening, for as much or as little time as you can afford.
