Family Cemetery Open

November 18

A small family cemetery with six graves arranged in a single neat row along a stone path. Each grave is marked with a simple headstone. The area is surrounded by grass and trees, creating a peaceful and quiet atmosphere under natural daylight.

The family cemetery at Johnstown Castle will reopen to the public on Tuesday the 18th of November. This coincides with the anniversary of Lady Maurice Fitzgerald, who died on the 18th of November 1942, aged 82.

Visitors wishing to pay their respects or visit family graves can do so during 11:00am – 3:00pm.

Entry is free for valid IHT membership holders and included with daily admission for all other visitors. Please note that the cemetery is not wheelchair accessible.
