Relive the immortal sounds of the Summer of Love with this jazz inspired extravaganza of song and music as part of the annual Jazz at Johnstown Festival.
The summer of 1967 has assumed a legendary status in music. The times really were a-changin.
But it was a time of hope sound-tracked by arguably some of the greatest songs ever recorded by innovative performers like The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Otis Redding, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Etta James, Aretha Franklin etc.
Jazz at Johnstown is revisiting its mythical magic with a specially assembled quintet of vocalist Sharon Clancy, guitarist Chris Colloton, pianist Greg Selma, drummer Matt Richards and bassist Dave Mooney.
Sharon is one of Ireland’s most unique and powerful jazz interpreters, whose authenticity of emotion allows her to connect with audiences in a truly special way. Turn on and tune in for this midsummer evening concert on June 27th
Doors open at 7.30pm, event begins at 8pm and includes an interval.
