Autumn Fête

Join us at our Autumn Fête on October 1^st , the event where age will become irrelevant. We invite families, friends, and companions to Johnstown Castles’ Autumn Fête for an afternoon of follies and fun for young and old.

Entry to this event is free for members of Johnstown Castle and included in daily admission for day visitors.

The Autumn Fête will bring together activities for young and old to enjoy.

Visitor Centre

12pm – 5pm Membership Information Stand

9am – 5pm Peacock Café

Irish Agriculture Museum 

12pm – 5pm Self Guided Museum Trail

12pm – 5pm Courtyard Coffee Dock

12:15pm – 4:45pm Live Music: Jamie Benson

12pm – 3pm Vox Pop area for people who have visited Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum and Gardens over the decades and have stories to tell of the estates past history.

3:15pm – 3:45pm How the Museum Came to be – Willie French will talk about how the IAM started and it’s story.

Sunken Garden/Castle 

12pm – 4:30pm Childrens Lawn Games in Sunken Garden – Tennis, Badminton, Crazy Golf, Limbo, Bowling Pins and Croquet.

12pm – 5pm Castle Cabin Coffee Dock

12pm – 5pm Victorian War Reenactment (back of castle)

12pm – 5pm Vintage Cars (front of castle)

12pm – 2pm Open House Tours

12pm – 1pm Yoga in Ballroom (Not included in general entry but ticket will give you access to event)

1:30pm – 2:30pm Qi Gong in Ballroom (Not included in general entry but ticket will give you access to event)

3pm – 4pm Meditation in Ballroom (Not included in general entry but ticket will give you access to event)

We will also celebrate companionship, Positive Aging Week 2023 plus the United Nations International Day of Older Persons so come along and enjoy fun activities that are guaranteed to build bonds between young and old.
