October Jazz with Cormac Kenevey

Due to demand, brilliant Dublin vocalist Cormac Kenevey and his trio are returning to Jazz at Johnstown for an evening of sultry cool autumnal jazz on October 20.

One of Ireland’s top jazz vocalists, Cormac’s first album This Is Living was quickly picked up and released by Alan Bates at the CANDID record label in London (home to Stacey Kent and Jamie Cullum).

And so began a career as a jazz singer with a string of critically acclaimed national and international appearances: his last evening performance at Jazz at Johnstown was in 2022. Cormac has always been busy on the international stage, including locations in London (Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express) around Europe, and as far afield as Abu Dhabi and Mexico.

He has completed a Master’s Degree in jazz performance, specialising in the art of vocalese and in the stylings of his eventual mentor, Mark Murphy. A big favourite at Jazz at Johnstown, Cormac will bring a superlative trio for this special Wexford Festival concert.
